When I awoke, one dark and stormy night,
   I found myself aboard an unknown ship;
And when, at last, I ascertained my plight,
   I found myself embarked upon a trip.
I asked the lookout, stationed up above,
   If he could tell me what name this ship bore;
He said, "They christened this here good ship Love."
   I said, "I think I’ve heard of her before."
"Her course," I uttered, "never has run steady;
   Often, I’ve watched safely from the land."
The Captain said, "My son, you’re not yet ready."
   And when I looked, I stood upon the sand.

      I watch and wait for Love to come back by;
      I’m ready to give her another try.
